Specifications of press brake
A press brake is an essential tool in metalworking. This machine is used for bending sheet metal into various shapes and profiles, and is indispensable in the production of parts such as cabinets, frames, plating and many other products.
Specification | Options/unit | At Second Owner |
---|---|---|
Press force | 20 - 600 tonnes | 100 tonnes |
Working width | 1000 mm - 6000 mm | 3000 mm |
Number of axes | 2 - 8 axes | 3 axes |
Drive | Hydraulic / Electric | Hydraulic |
CNC-controlled | Yes / No | Yes |
Pressing force
The pressing force determines the amount of pressure the press brake can apply to the sheet metal. Larger press forces are needed for thicker or harder metals such as steel. For most standard applications, a press brake with a press force between 100 and 400 tonnes is sufficient.
Working width
The bending length determines the maximum width of the sheet that the press brake can bend. Larger bending lengths are useful when working with large sheets, such as in the production of cabinets, panels or industrial constructions.
Number of axes
The number of axes on a press brake indicates the degree of control and flexibility offered by the machine. The more axes, the more precise and complex the bends the machine can perform. For example, a 4-axis press brake offers sufficient flexibility for most production environments.
Drive
Press brakes are usually hydraulically driven, which ensures powerful and reliable operation, suitable for heavy-duty applications. Electrically driven press brakes are more precise and energy-efficient, but less powerful.
CNC-controlled
CNC-controlled press brakes make it possible to perform complex bending processes fully automatically and with a high degree of accuracy. This is ideal for serial production where consistency and repeatability are important.
