Specifications of resaws
Resaws come in different designs and sizes, depending on the specific needs of your workshop. How do you choose the right resaws for your business? We explain the most important specifications for you, so you can quickly select a suitable machine.
Specification | Options/unit | At Second Owner |
---|---|---|
Saw ribbon width | 10 - 150 mm | 10 - 110 mm |
Belt length | 1,000 - 6,000 mm | 2,000 - 6,000 mm |
Cutting depth | 50 - 500 mm | 150 - 350 mm |
Motor power | 1 - 40 kW | 3 - 30 kW |
Saw speed | Variable (rpm) | 2,000 - 3,000 rpm |
Maximum workpiece width | 200 - 1,000 mm | 300 - 600 mm |
Maximum workpiece height | 50 - 300 mm | 150 - 350 mm |
Saw ribbon width
The width of saw bands determines the precision and maximum depth of cut. Resaws use saw bands of different widths, ranging from 10 mm to 150 mm. A wider saw ribbon can handle larger materials and offers more stability during cutting, but can also lead to greater load on the machine.
Saw ribbon length
The length of saw ribbons determines the size of the blade and the cutting capacity of the resaw. Lengths usually range from 1,000 mm to 6,000 mm. Choosing the right length is important for efficient operation and for being able to perform different cutting jobs.
Sawing depth
The cutting depth is the maximum thickness of material that can be cut in one go. It typically ranges from 50 mm to 350 mm, depending on the model and specifications of the resaw. A greater depth of cut offers more options for cutting thicker materials.
Motor power
The motor power, expressed in kilowatts (kW), determines the power and capacity of the resaws. Motor powers range from 1 kW to 40 kW. A more powerful motor is essential for processing larger and harder materials.
Saw speed
Sawing speed, measured in revolutions per minute (rpm), affects the speed at which cutting takes place. Resaws often have a variable sawing speed, with a range of 2,000 to 3,000 rpm. It is important to choose a speed that suits the materials you are cutting for optimal results.
Adjustable Saw Shaft
An adjustable saw axis allows you to adjust the sawing angle and depth, providing more precision and flexibility during cutting. This is an important feature for precise and versatile cutting applications.
Maximum Workpiece Width and Height
The maximum workpiece width and height determine the dimensions of the materials the resaws can handle. Depending on the model, these can range from 200 mm to 1,000 mm in width and 50 mm to 350 mm in height. This affects the capacity of the machine and the types of projects you can carry out.
With these specifications in mind, you can make an informed choice when selecting the right resaw for your needs. If you have any questions about specific models or need additional information, do not hesitate to contact us!
